What should I do? Opinions?

Okay so I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years now. And he doesn’t like when I masturbate because he feels like when we have sex I won’t be into it. (But he said if I do, just don’t tell him) At first I kind of argued about it but I was like okay, I’ll try not to do it anymore. Now I’m fine without masturbating. But one thing about me is that I love doing new things. I’ve always wanted a lot of sex toys but he hates the idea. He tells me that’s just “how he is” but I feel like it’s just stupid. I should be able to buy whatever I want and please myself whenever I want. Sometimes you don’t want sex, you’d rather just finish yourself off, but I guess he doesn’t understand that. We’ve had lots of conversations about it because we believe in communication, but he won’t change. I changed a few ways for him but he won’t change this little thing about himself for me! He acts like it’s a huge deal. Maybe it is to him but idk. It’s just not fair. Any thoughts or opinions?
