Breastfeeding and UTI ?

What are you breastfeeding moms doing if you have a UTI? Since we can't really take meds.. I've heard for mild cases to increase water and cranberry juice, anything else?

There are breastfeeding-friendly antibiotics your doctor can prescribe. Just make sure they know you’re breastfeeding and be adamant that you plan to continue so you need something that won’t affect baby.

Probiotics help a lot too. Either a probiotic supplement or adding some yogurt to your diet. 
But like previous poster mentioned, you can also talk to your doctor about what antibiotics would be safe while breastfeeding.

Just tell your dr you’re breastfeeding and they will give you something known to be safe :) x

I second what Nina said. Probiotics and activia probiotic yogurt both help tremendously
