Does anyone else regret what their baby's named?

I had a baby 6 months ago and I regret what we named him. I feel like his name is too common and basic (Nicholas). When I was pregnant I really wanted to name my son something a little more uncommon but my husband wanted a familiar name. Does anyone else regret what they've named their child?

people said I would regret it later naming my son Fox, but he's a year on Friday and it fits him perfectly. 
just wait your soon you won't even think of other names because none will fit him the way his name does.

My oldest...Liam...it was super different when I picked it...I named him after my best friend William...but coincidentally Taken came out that year...he's 7 now and in every class he has had at least 2 other Liams

Been 15 months and I still occasionally struggle with regret. I personally think it’s a beautiful name. It’s unusual and uncommon. I had no idea of the lifelong struggle I was gifting her. People rarely know how to pronounce it and often make rude comments. I often wonder if we should have gone with our second option...it is common
But what’s done is done and I love her and her name even if it will make her life difficult

Yes. When I was pregnant I loved the name Courtney, when my daughter was born I was like yes her name is Courtney, we signed the birth certificate, we stuck with Courtney. 4 months later. I hated the name. Like I couldn’t stand her name. I thought Courtney was absolutely horrible. She was 8 months a few weeks ago and we officially changed her name to Wren.

Give it time. It’s only been 6 months. I have a Hayden, whenever I named him it wasn’t very common I never knew anyone with that name, but a couple years after he was born everyone started name their kids Hayden Aiden kaden. It was really annoying at first bc now his name is no longer uncommon. But it fits him so well. I also have a Nolan, my husbands favorite name but one that I only liked, I loved Theodore, when he was first born I felt like I still might not  love the name, however it grow on me, once he was about a year old and really developed a personality, he’s definitely a Nolan. And I feel like it goes so well with My other children’s names. I suggest giving it more time and talking to your husband to see what he thinks, maybe he agrees with you and it’ll make your decision easy.
