Donating placenta?

So my mum told me that after I have my baby in October I should donate my placenta for science or whatever😂🤷🏻‍♀️has anyone else done this?

I donated mine with this last pregnancy. I walked up to registration and she asked if I would be interested in donating my placenta. I was like sure I’m not going to eat it or take them as a pill and it’s very beneficial to people who have diabetes and wounds on their feet. She goes over your whole health history and then if all is well she will be in the room with you until she gets the placenta and she says thank you and walks out.
