Ultrasound help..

I've had miscarriages. My last was in November 2018. I started bleeding and the doctor saw an empty sac. I was 7 weeks and 4 days. I got BFP 5 days ago. My doctor wont see me until I am 10 weeks along. Normally, he wont see people until 12-14 weeks but given my history hell see me a little early. I found a clinic an hour away who does free ultrasounds to confirm pregnancy. I know my doctor doesnt like to do anything too early because theres a chance a baby cant be seen. I want to go to this clinic before my 10 week check with my actual doctor. I know waiting a few weeks seems easy, but when you've had losses, youd rather know earlier rather than later if it's an empty sac again. ****My question I guess, is has anyone been in this situation? Should I ask to be seen at 7 weeks ? Would I be likely to see anything? I'm so scared and nervous and I want to be excited and look at baby things but I just cant because I've been thru this before. When is it safe to feel safe. I'm trying to stay relaxed. Its so hard.
