Random glass of red wine is okay right?

Asking for a friend who has been drinking red wine throughout her pregnancy!?

There’s different opinions on this and even vary from dr to dr, and mother to mother, but the most recent research with the American Pregnancy Association says there’s “no safe amount of alcohol consumption during pregnancy” So in the end, it’s probably best for you friend to just leave the alcohol out for now and then enjoy a nice glass of vino after the baby is born

Yes, a glass of red wine here or there isn’t going to do anything to baby but if she is over there drinking red wine in mass amounts then she prolly needs to chill a little 😊

Yep it’s fine :) for the people saying no, they just need to educate themselves :) One glass of red wine is not going to do anything and actually help heart health. Late in pregnancy, it relaxes muscles for labor. Doesn’t induce of course, but it does relax muscles. I don’t drink during pregnancy myself, but it is ok to have one glass. :)

In real life? She’s probably fine but that’s a risk she has to be comfortable taking. Personally my midwives would say a 5oz glass every once in a while, with a meal, is safe.
Officially? No amount of alcohol has been tested to be “safe”

I would pass personally though I did have a TINY sip of my husband’s beer last weekend. I’m talking like 1/8 tsp. I wouldn’t drink any more than that.

Completely safe! (Of course in moderation and a doctors ok) however, even tho I know it’s okay, I don’t do it. Reason being, when I don’t drink for a while, I get tipsy off the one glass and I feel so wrong being tipsy pregnant! Lmao
