First Tattoo

I've been wanting a tattoo for a while and I think I figured out what I want. I want to get flowers as a memorial for my grandparents, aunt and great grandma. They used to love gardening and their rooms always had flowers. I'm thinking about getting it on my shoulder, that way it'll be easier to add more flowers across my back. I want something similar to this but with the birth month flowers of my family members.

Thoughts? Tips/advice on my first tattoo?
