Tattoos

So I just finished this piece that I started a couple months ago. Each flower has a meaning. The first one below my hand is a sunflower my sunflower represents my mom. The Rose below it represents my grandmother on my dads side who passed 2 years ago after 3 hard battles of breast cancer. The final flower at the bottom is my daisy. My daisy represents my grandmother on my moms side. The two small carnations on either side of the 3 main flowers represent my great grandma on my moms side who passed a year ago. I am currently at 5 tattoos after posting this one. All my tattoos have meaning still till this day. The original quintet of flowers have now expanded to a few more. This one will eventually become a sleeve. My grandfather was a landscaper and planted flowers so I began my own garden during Quarantine of 2020 & as each flower bloomed, I tattooed it on my arm, my garden is named after my grandparents. My first tattoo was the only words I have that matched with my mom. The third one I got was the group of 3 people on my inner arm. My grandfather unfortunately lost his battle with cancer as well and joined my pretty lady in the sky. So as a tribute to them as a couple and to show how much they loved me and I loved them, I tattooed a picture of us 3 from my 10th birthday party. Just no faces because that’s my style and I wouldn’t want to chance anyone ruining their image (although my tattoo artist could’ve done it, as he does amazing portraits, I just did not want to chance it). The faded light blue one is a picture of my and my little sister. As a bit of a graduation gift I took her to get her first tattoo and we got matching ones. And my final tattoo is this dope little alien behind my ear. This one is a symbol of myself. Not that I see myself as an outcast, just different.
