nipple piercing pain

so i’ve had my piercings for almost a year now and they don’t hurt ever but recently i’ve been seeing this guy and he was sucking on my left one and bit the bar and pulled and i told him it hurt but now my nipple is a little swollen and sensitive to the touch... what do i do? or what could it be that it’s sore? feels like i just got it pierced!
