Announcement Advice Please!

Hello! I am 11 weeks pregnant and haven't told anyone yet (apart of husband of course!) After 2 late term losses its hard & I'm finding the idea of telling people and letting everyone down again very scary.

I told myself I would announce to my Mum this Sunday (Mother's Day here in the UK) however, my boss GUESSED this week and told me in private "it's so obvious, everyone in the office is pretty much waiting for you to announce!" 🙄

So my thing is - all of my department have an outing this weekend at a bar/pub (a charity quiz!) - should I keep up the pretend and fake drink until I've told my Mum or do I just tell my work colleagues and relax at the quiz? I know they'll all be happy for me, especially after everything, I just don't know if it's right to tell people at work before getting the chance to tell my own mother!! You know?

I'd be telling my Mum and Sister the next morning when we go for a Mother's Day lunch. What do you think? Am I being silly? Haha 💛

I have a check up scan this morning so if everything looks good I'll be happy to announce to JUST my department and my parents/siblings for now. My booking/nuchal scan is on Tuesday. I wouldn't make a full announcement until 20 weeks this time round.
