When will my period end after having a c-section?

I had my C-section 6 weeks ago I'm still bleeding is it normal? When will it stop & when will I get my period again?

I didn’t have a period for over a year after my c-section since I was breast feeding. I did bleed for 6 weeks after my c-section though.

It's different for everyone. I only bled for 2 weeks after my csection and it was very light then I got my period at 6.5 weeks postpartum and I was also breastfeeding so I didn't expect it so soon

Everyone is different I had my CS and it was 2 weeks but I ended up spotting and I didn’t know if it was still pp or my period and when I ended up getting my period back I had to use the foot ball pads and omg it took me back when I was 12 years old and they didn’t have a lot of pads to choose from back then and it was a while before I could wear a tampon I’m thinking about 5 months.

Everyone is different... I only had bleeding for about 2 weeks but my incision took forever to heal, like 3 months and then I got my regular period at 4 months again while breastfeeding. There's no one-size fits all,  just depends on you.

That's called lochia and it lasts 4-6 weeks. It shouldn't be bright red at this point. If it is I would be speaking to your doctor at your wellness check up.

I had pp bleeding after my csection up to 4 weeks pp then had about a week off then my first period started at 6 weeks pp. Then I started back on my birth control so I'm not sure how long my first period would have lasted naturally or if it would have been regular or not
