Hypnobirthing? Yay or nay?

If yay, please comment with the Best books or eCourses? Tips? Give me all the details and resources. What exactly is it? So many of my friends tell me I should try it and they think I would be successful with it.

I did a hypnobirthing course with my first and have been listening to the tracks and doing to meditations this pregnancy. Some hypnobirthing moms have said they experienced a pain free birth by using the hypnobirthing techniques, but I didn’t experience that. I did, however, experience what I believe was an easier birth than I would have given my situation by being able to get into a deep relaxation during labor. My son was sunny side up and coming down at an angle, which for many results in back labor (and in cases where baby can’t descend, emergency c section), but I was able to relax so baby could do what he needed to do. I’m hoping for an even easier birth this time 🤞🏼❤️✨

I think it’s great for those who want to disconnect with the pain but I really want to stay connected and aware through all of it.  I focused on my contractions as encouragement to relax and open rather than trying to feel like they weren’t happening.  I’ve had 2 natural deliveries now and hoping this will be my third!

Rachel Yellin! She is amazing. They are downloadable MP3s that I play on my phone when I sleep, drive, get ready for work...so so good! She has a normal calm voice - nothing too exaggerated..
I also read Ina May’s Guide to Childbirth book....very helpful in focusing on natural birth - low intervention birthing. But be warned, very biased towards natural! So keep an open mind, as sometimes interventions are absolutely needed 👍

There is a Hypnobabies Home Study Course on Amazon that takes 6 weeks to complete. I’m gonna get it because there’s not a Hypnobabies class in my area. It’s important to note that there is a difference between HypnoBABIES and HypnoBIRTHING. I don’t know enough to know what the difference is, but I do know there’s a difference. I’ve watched labor and delivery videos on the Hypnobabies Home Study Course of women who have completed the course and it honestly makes me truly excited for my birthing time. There’s a FB group for Hypnobabies as well which is so informative. 💕

So I had a natural home birth, and I guess it might depend on the birth itself and the person but I feel like it would never work for me 😂😂 It was rough and not peaceful for me at all! It was paaaaaain 😂😂😂
