Baby shower for baby #2?

Question

What do you ladies think of a baby shower for baby #2? I am so torn. I do want one, but at the same time don't. My little girl is 2 and I am about to have a baby boy. If I did have one it would just be family and a few friends. Nothing big. 
Is it wrong of me to want another baby shower even tho I have a lot of the main baby stuff? Maybe just have a diaper/clothes party? Lol, I dont know.

I personally don’t get this whole you can only have one shower thing....  this is my fifth, however, I have had no baby showers ever. I will have one this time, especially since my last was 8 years ago. Also, after doing the math, I actually am spending more money throwing a baby shower than what people are eating and drinking, etc.

A lot of people I know will do a “sprinkle” for their second, especially if it is a different gender than their first. Sprinkles are usually smaller, with less gifts, but totally acceptable!

I'm also on my 5th and didnt have one for any of my other pregnancies. I also have 4 girls and am now having a boy so I would really love to have one.

I don’t understand why everyone feels like they can’t have more than one babyshower? 
EVERY baby is a blessing and should be celebrated! If you don’t need a lot of things because you have them from your other baby then don’t ask for them. But every baby needs diapers and clothes and to be spoiled by family and friends. Why is the first baby the only spoiled baby? Lol 
Have a shower girl! Have a party with friends and family. Celebrate your baby.

I have a girl and now I’m having a boy. I’m having a large shower I registered for everything I need and I don’t feel bad. Anytime anyone I know has a baby I get them tons of stuff and I don’t mine if it’s baby 1 or baby 10 for them, so I don’t feel bad about having a shower this time.

I’m having a “baby sprinkle” something much smaller and close family and friends only. I’m still making my registry accessible to everyone. I have a two year old boy and I’m pregnant with a girl. There’s still so much stuff I need for my daughter so why the hell not throw a baby shower?!

My mom asked to throw me a sprinkle which I felt a little bit awkward about so I am only inviting my immediate family and closest friends for a total of about 10 people. We are going to do brunch at a nice restaurant and if anyone wants to bring a gift they are welcome to but by no means required.

Go for it. Mainly ask for clothes and a few other things if you still have some things from your little girl that he is able to use. Such as the “big” things.

Go for it!! Ours isn’t even called a shower and it’s our first- we just want to be outside with family and friends and we love any excuse for a get-together or celebration! After all, we only get to see everyone at weddings and funerals so we should be making room for more casual social time to catch up ☺️💕 you would regret it if you didn’t have one!
