Is it wrong for me to feel this way?

Is it wrong of me to say that were not gonna bust our asses for family members to see our child? And If they want to be in our kids life they have to make an effort?

Ohh I hear ya, it’s not really that crazy! I kinda feel the opposite but for the same reasons.. all my friends and family have kids and I’ve been going to them for EVERY visit for all these years because they say it’s just easier that way. Guess what now...my turn!! For some of them, I’m parking my a$$ at home and telling them to come to me but for others, I’m going to put the effort in to packing up and going to them so they can see that it’s possible for people to get dressed and leave their house with a baby. 😂

I’d say it’s not crazy. There’s clearly a reason why you feel that way. When it’s like that, you have to let people come to your world. Going to theirs will only make you feel used.

I’m going through this right now! I tell you what, if it doesn’t work itself out then leave it be. Make them want to be a part of your baby’s life don’t make them. I’m learning this the hard way!! Do not stress over it 💙

Same. We have in laws that live 3 hours away and do not plan on making the trip with an infant. They can come see us

No. People should go the extra mile to accommodate and see you and your family especially with an infant (at that stage they should be coming to help not for you to entertain them) but also when you have young kids in general.
