How accurate was your growth scan ?

I’m 39&2 they just told me my baby is 9 pounds 3 ounces 😳 and her stomach is in the 97th percentile meaning they’re certain she truly is 9 pounds 😭😭 kinda freaking out here. I’ve no signs of labor and can’t be induced for another two weeks. I’m terrified I’m going to have a 10 pound baby 
Did you have a kid with a big stomach but wasn’t actually big ?
Was your growth scan accurate ? If not how far off was it ?

When I was overdue it said like 9lbs on a Friday. By Tuesday when she was born she was only a little over 8 lbs.

Ultrasounds can be inaccurate to a pound in either direction. It's a general estimate, not a solid number. Best of luck!

They told me baby would be over 8pounds. He came out at 7.1 and dropped to 6.9

I had one the day before my son was born and they told me he would 7.5 lbs. He came out 9.1 🙄 I've heard them being inaccurate both ways though.

With my first, they told me that he wouldn’t be more than 7lbs and when I had him (he was 4 days late), he was 9lbs 7.5oz🤷🏻‍♀️ I had to send my husband home to get my son something to wear home since he didn’t fit in any of the newborn stuff we took with us

I think it’s different when you get ultrasounds weekly but my baby at 34 weeks was 3lbs 4oz and at 37 he was 4lbs 14oz they never gave me a guess on how big he’s going to be

My daughter I had a ultrasound before I gave birth they said 7lb
She was 7lbs 3oz and dropped to 6lbs 3oz

They always measure my kids smaller. My first two we were told would only be like 2 pounds they were 7 lbs 7 oz  and 6 poijnds 14 ounces at 35 weeks. An they said my son  was going to be 6 1/2 pounds he was 7 lbs 12 oz at 37!weeks
