When can I test?

I had sex during my ovulation last month. Which is around the 21st. When should I test? My period is still almost 2 weeks away.

Answer

This is now the dreaded 2 week wait they talk about. You won’t be guaranteed a positive until the day of your missed period. Any testing before then COULD show up positive, but also could be a false negative. I had tested 2 times during my 2 week wait, got false negatives and was convinced I wasn’t pregnant because of it. I waited to test again until 2 days after my missed period and got my positive.

Wtf. Ovulation of LAST MONTH, that doesn’t make sense. 
Anyways, regardless of how messed up and long your cycles are, two weeks after ovulation is when you should be able to see a positive test. It usually takes up to 14 days past ovulation for the egg and sperm to meet up, start multiplying, attach to the uterine wall, and start producing HCG hormone.
