Was it rude ?

So my friend has apparently been ttc for about a year now, and I had no idea. She recently shared that with me when she was asking me for advice. I have two daughters, am pregnant with a boy, and had a miscarriage at 13 weeks. I guess this is why she was asking me for advice since I’ve been able to conceive 4 times? However I told her that I didn’t have much advice to give when it comes to ttc as I’ve never tried. My oldest daughter is only three, and I became pregnant with her on the pill. My second daughter was conceived 2 and a half months after delivering my first and I was not trying at all, I wasn’t on birth control but I was exclusively breastfeeding . The third time I conceived I was on the patch and that’s the baby I ended up miscarrying at 13 weeks. And this time I found out I was pregnant while I had the nexplanon implant inserted.

I told her literally none of my kids were planned, so I didn’t know anything about testing for ovulation or when the best time to have sex for ttc is or what medication is good to take for fertility. I guess she took offense to this because she got mad and said that I wasn’t helping, and that I was just rubbing it in her face how “fertile” I am. When really I was just telling her that I’m probably no help because I’ve never gone through the process of ttc or testing for fertility. I didn’t know what it’s like to struggle with trying to get pregnant so I thought it’d be best to tell her I couldn’t help instead of giving advice on a topic I knew nothing about.

But was I being rude and just can’t see it?
