In-Law Frustration

I didn’t know which category this fit in hahaha but I need to vent to unbiased people. I am going on 6 weeks pregnant so of course in the super early stages (mood swings galore) and no one knows I’m pregnant yet except my hubby and two of my friends. I want to tell my parents soon, my husband and I have a cute way planned, however I don’t know when we’ll have a spare moment alone with them because....

Well my MIL is visiting here from LA (I’m in DC) and she HAD been staying two hours away with her other sons + their families (has six grandkids there) but now she has proceeded to invite herself up to stay with us. Which is fine, in theory, I can definitely handle a visit. She’s great, there’s no specific complaint, BUT she didn’t talk with us before coming up and didn’t tell us how long she was planning to be here, and it turns out she’s planning to stay here 4-6 WEEKS! My husband and I have a tiny apartment with just one bathroom, a few electric appliances to cook (but not a full kitchen), and we both work all day every day. It just doesn’t make sense for her to stay that long if she has more family close by with grandkids and full size houses. PLUS, I don’t know when morning sickness will hit me and that one little bathroom won’t be enough. Not to mention my hormones & moodiness these days. And having to share a small home and have someone managing MY household is not how I want to operate especially pregnant.

I talked to my husband about it and he tried to coax her into saying only a week or two but she didn’t get the hint and said that a month is fine. So he feels like he tried his best, but that there’s nothing he can do now. Also he loves his mom to the max and it doesn’t bother him having her here as long as she wants. I feel so helpless cuz I don’t know her that well and I don’t feel like I can say anything or she’ll think I don’t like her which is not true, I just don’t like the situation.

Am I a bitch? Am I in the right? Please help! I’m so frustrated.
