Doppler?

Question

How many of you have your own fetal doppler at home to listen to baby’s heart beat?
Are they safe to use as much as possible? Sounds silly I know, just want to make sure it wouldn’t effect baby in any way.

Yes and yes. Did with both pregnancies and babies are super healthy.

I had one and felt like it was a waste of money. I had a hard time finding the heartbeat until like 15 weeks. Then of course, I'd worry. I even brought it to my dr and it showed 135, I thought oh goody I found it, he said nope you found the placenta, the actual heartbeat was 145. Then soon after I could feel the baby kick anyway. So I only used it a very short time.

I got one at about 12 weeks and it was the best decision ever. I use it all the time and it gives me peace of mind knowing my baby is ok. I highly recommend it

I never saw a point in buying one. Home Doppler’s don’t stop miscarriages and I feel like they give out a false sense of security. I let my OB do the job that they’re paid to do and this is coming from someone who had a miscarriage.

Your safe I listen to my girl morning and night just to see her different rates of heart beat as well little hint it’s ok to tilt the wand and press a little harder then usual I’m not sayin dig in there but it should sound like a horse 🐎 galloping

There’s no studies that say they are safe for home use which makes them not recommendable. 
With that being said, i have used one with my second and now 3rd child and neither one has had any negative affects. 
I only used it once a week and for less that 5 minutes at a time, never leave the wand in one place for too long. I havent used it since about 21w (currently 25w) because i feel baby move now. 
Some doctors will advise you against using one, some will say it’s totally fine. Pretty much like everything else, its up to you to decide if its safe or not 😅 
The only thing i have really read against them is that the sound waves could potentially heat up tissue and cause damage if used too much or left in one spot for too long. Sorry for the long post lol
