How long did you breastfed?

This is my first child how long should i breastfeed? She was on formula for about 2 days bc my milk supply went low for whatever reason and it made her face red and swollen and she was very very gassy and cranky....im trying to avoid formula for as long as possible bc i hate how it makes my little one feel. How long do babies even drink milk for?

A year or longer! I plan to wean this one at a year. The older they get, the harder it is to wean. Also, if she reacts to formula, cut dairy from your diet until about 7-9 months. Many babes are allergic to dairy proteins and those proteins come through to your milk. It will help with reflux, gas, and colic

I breastfed (nursed and pumped) for 12 months.👌🏾 She was exclusively on breastmilk until she was six months. At six months, we introduced solids, but breastmilk was still her main source of nutrition until she turned one!👍🏾

They need milk or formula for at least 12m of their life. I only could go 6m with my daughter on breast milk because I was working and pumping and not making enough. I hope to go longer for my second since I am a stay at home mom now. My sister did 2 years breast feeding with most of her kids. Good luck to you!

I did strictly breastfeeding for 3 then formula/breast feed combo til 6 months. This time I want to try to do exclusive breastfeeding for 12 months
