Trying for a baby

Currently trying for baby no2, our first I got caught on the contraceptive pill so I have no idea on timings or anything as I wasn’t having periods as the pill completely stopped me.

Anyways I was wondering how long it’s taken you to conceive? - the reason behind my question is I have recently (January) had pelvic inflammatory disease, which I know can affect us as it can cause your Fallopian tubes to completely block up with scar tissue. I just don’t know how long I’m expected to wait before asking for tests?
