Lanolin vs. Expressed Milk
My baby is 6 days old and I am having a lot of pain while feeding. It’s the worst right when she latches and it does get slightly better as she eats. The lactation consultant at the hospital says her latch is good and I’ve done a lot of reading to make sure she continues to latch correctly but I feel like my nipples never have time to heal.
I’ve heard great things about lanolin but I also have friends who swear by using expressed milk on their nipples after their baby nurses. Thoughts? Did you have more success with one than the other? Did the pain get better with time?
