Weaning My Toddler
I'm down to only nursing her at nap time, bed time and then every time she wakes up at night (which lately has been a lot! 5-10 times a night on average) I really just want to be done with breastfeeding. It's been such a blessing for us both but now I'm starting to feel frustrated/angry when that's the only way I can get her to go back to sleep. I don't want to feel angry with her, it's not her fault I've let her use it as a crutch for sleeping ever since she was born so how does she know any better? I don't want to quit cold turkey because of the health issues that can come with that (engorgment, hormones, etc) and I don't think it's fair to put that much stress on her especially since she's had a cold lately so she's already out of sorts. If anyone has any advice on how I can wean her soon/if there are any tips on how to get a toddler to sleep for naps and bed time without nursing please share with me. I feel like I'm struggling and just don't know where to start.
