I think my 22 month old son has a yeast infection. I thought it was a diaper rash, so I’ve been applying diaper rash cream at every diaper change, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. It’s pretty bad, worse than I’ve ever seen. He’s so uncomfortable. I have let him air dry during the day (we’re potty training anyway), but it doesn’t seem to be getting any better. Should I take him to the doctor or is it safe to use an OTC antifungal cream to see if that helps? I just want him to feel better quickly, and his doctor is closed for the day. 😩
