Vitamins

I just wanna know why we have to take prenatal vitamins, did they take these in the 1800s or did they just go on with life? Why are parents now so paranoid about stupid things I feel maybe if we didn’t try and get everyone to do everything the government or even the world says maybe everyone would be safer and children wouldnt be so overprotected? I’m so sorry if this is really insensitive I’m just curious and Curiosity did kill the cat. I’m almost 9 weeks pregnant and stopped vitamins about 4-5 weeks ago because they made me feel worse and I was told I could miscarry. A little advice or something would be really cool as I’m a first time mum but my 4th pregnancy!
