No condoms or no sex

So ive been with my boyfriend for about 5 months now and everything is going very smoothly no weird signs except for this one thing that I need advice on. He HATES condoms. I'm not currently on birth control, I had to take a break for medical reasons. And I won't have sex with him without a condom bc I am not ready to chance a baby. I'm only a sophomore in college and I'd like to be well graduated before taking any chances, plus we've only been together 5 months.. but recently he has been putting up so much of a fight and has even been refusing sex. He would rather have no sex than sex with a condom. Does anyone else go through this with a boyfriend? Any suggestions? I know most guys don't like them but I mean would they really rather have no sex at all rather than some lost sensation?
