Can you tell the gender at your 12 week scan?

My friend had her 12 week scan the other day and she had her little boy with her and the dr doing the ultra sound said to her little boy “come over here and have a look at your brother” pointing to the screen! My friend is sooo annoyed as she thinks the dr has told her what she is having and she dosnt want to know. Is it possible the dr knew shes carrying a boy??

I found out with my first son at 13 weeks. It was a boy and you couldn’t miss his parts lol

I found out at almost 13wks I was having a girl and the doctor was 100%.  He told me he was 99.9% but to come back in 5 wks for 110% results lol.

Not at the scan no. Way too early for a definitive result. Through some genetic testing you can tell at that point tho.

Thanks girls. I honestly thought it would b impossible to tell that early and im tryin to give her hope that he couldnt have known its a boy but she is so mad lol sometimes they struggle at the 21 week scan to determine the sex. Thanks for relpying ☺️
