Should I be worried??

So I just recently started birth control again for the second time (I was on the patch and took a break for a few months and now this is my second month on it) I was supposed to start my period in the middle of the third patch week and I didn’t. I’m not sure if this is because of the patch or what. I’m also wondering if i’m going to get my period on the patch free week, which is this week, instead of last week to get in sync with the birth control if that makes sense. It’s not been 11 days since I was supposed to start my period so could I be pregnant or is it the birth control?

You are rally supposed to get your withdrawal bleeding (period) during the week when you do not have a patch on.
The way it works is that the hormones from the patch  prevents the normal ovulation and menstruation cycle. So while the hormones is in your body, you should not ovulate or bleed. When you do not put on a patch in the 4th week, the hormone levels in your body drop. This will cause an artificial period called withdrawal bleeding.
So why did you get withdrawal bleeding in week 3 before? For a small number of women it just works that way. There is no medical problem, it is just weird. Normally it can be fixed by what you did - stopping and restarting, or changing the type of hormones.
If you do not get your period during the week off, you should take a pregnancy test just to make sure.
