Does late ovulation change due date??

Question

So my LMP was 2/25 but I didn’t ovulate until CD27 (3/23) so am I 5weeks+3 days or am I 3weeks+5days?? I’ve read that if you ovulated late then you add two weeks on to that date but I’m not sure. Anyone have anymore information???

You go by your lmp until you have a dating ultrasound. They don’t track from ovulation because most women don’t know when they ovulate. They’ll adjust your due date based on the scan.

Your doctor or midwife will still use your LMP until you measure different on ultrasound, but you’re correct that ovulating so late changes how far along you actually are, because the standard calculation assumes ovulation on day 14. Just don’t be worried or upset when they find that you’re measuring a couple weeks behind what they expect based on your LMP, and they’ll probably “officially” change your due date then.

I ovulate on CD 17 and when I got pregnant and did my dating scan...my baby measured at 8 weeks, but I was truly 8 weeks 2 days due to LMP. So in this case my baby was measuring closer to my ovulation date than my LMP but it was such a small difference we kept it as my LMP.
