so, here goes

i’m 15 years old, i’m a virgin and i’ve been trying to use a tampon for about a year now, but everytime i try it won’t work and gets stuck on what feels like a brick wall

i think i know what it is from research, and my friend also has it (called a septate hymen) which makes it difficult to insert tampons

i know this isn’t really a place to ask for medical advice but all i’m asking is how the hell to tell my mum i want a doctors appointment?! i obviously need to get it checked out because it’s usually corrected with surgery, but me and my mum aren’t that close and never really talk about this kinda stuff

may sound stupid, but i would really appreciate any advice on how to ask/tell her! it really isn’t as easy as you may think because i would’ve told her a year ago if it was!!
