My son will be 2.5 next month, and we have a baby girl due the end of June. 3 weeks ago he started doing this hard blinking with his eyes. Sometimes together, sometimes one eye at a time.

He has glasses so we made an emergency appointment with his ophthalmologist at our children’s hospital. The doctor said his script and everything with his eyes are fine, she thinks it’s either just a tic or he has allergies because she found bumps under his top and bottom eye lids. She prescribed him these drops for 2 weeks 3 times a day and to call her back in two weeks to follow up and the next route to take. She mentioned seeing a neurologist to rule that out. I have called 3 times this past week to follow up and no call back, I even called his pedi and they said I needed to wait to talk to the ophthalmologist.

He had only told me his eyes hurt one time, it doesn’t seem to bother him, but it’s so painful to watch him do this all day. We have been trying to ignore and not point it out either. I just don’t know what it can be. I know the children’s hospital doctors are bombarded, but im getting impatient and want some answers. I just wanna book a neuro appt Or allergist appt on my own, but I know the doctor wants to know if these drops worked, which they didn’t.

Is there any families whose kiddos went through this or is currently going through this. I’m just really scared because I’m not sure if this is bothering him or not.
