I’m sure the answers are weird. Please give me your advice. My daughter is 9 months and has 2 bottom teeth coming it. It hurts like hell and I just want to know if it gets better. I see moms that breastfeed til 3 so surely you must have some advice. I was planning to nurse for 1 year.

Yep. The only not fun part is when they bite, but they move past that. If it hurts to nurse with their teeth, you can reach out to a lactation consultant to check he's latching correctly.

In my experience it gets better! My 18 month old has 8 teeth and is currently cutting two more and since the first tooth or two, it hasn't affected breastfeeding. His latch has been fine and he doesn't bite. It's a phase they'll pass through so just make sure he latches properly and he'll eventually stop!

The only time it hurts for me is while my daughter is cutting teeth. She clamps down on ANYTHING that goes in her mouth, nipple included. But once it pops through and she’s not in pain anymore I don’t notice her teeth at all while she nurses.

For me it hurts for a day whenever a new tooth comes in. But then I guess I get used to it.
