I was so scared

So, I’m a 15 year old African American girl. My grandma and I just came back from getting our toes done. We stopped at Walmart, and I went it by myself. I was picking up a few groceries for me when a unknown male walked up to me. He told me I was a “ beautiful woman.” I got nervous and panicked on the inside I said, “thank you,” in a nervous voice, and walk away really fast from the isle I was on. I got so paranoid and panicky. At the time I was txt my ex- boyfriend, and I called him to stay on the phone with me just incase something happened. I told my ex about it, and he made me really calm while I finished my shopping. I told my mom about the altercation I had, and she was quite furious about this unknown man which is understandable, and told me what I should do next time something like this happened again. I hope nobody ever has to experience that because I was quite scared for my life knowing what could have happened. I feel proud of how I handled the situation.
