Getting “used to” sex?

Recently ive had conversation with my boyfriend about our sex life. i told him that once i got on birth control my drive would either be non existent or through the roof.. well it’s been through the roof for almost 4 months now.. like i predicted it would be. so today he tells me that it’s just something he got used to. he said it was nice. that’s all..

am i in the wrong for being upset over this comment? i try my best to try new things & make it exciting & something to look forward to rather than just whatever. i told him that every time we had sex it was very special to me because i feel connected to him in a very spiritual way.. so him saying this hurt my feelings. any advice would help

please.. i don’t want to start an argument or anything unless i know for a fact i’m not crazy for feeling like this.
