Progesterone suppositories after IUI

I had my IUI on Monday so I am 6dpIUI. But my doc had me start progesterone suppositories the morning after my IUI. Has anyone else done this? Any success? Any side effects from the progesterone? Hoping it helps and I get my lil pineapple this month, baby dust!!💗🍍
