Confused??

At my appointment yesterday I was 1cm dilated and soft. Today I go into l&d for contractions and she checks me and I’m 3cm and 30% effaced, I got sent home. She told me I wasn’t quite in “labor” yet but in early labor?? She said it could be anywhere from tonight or 2 weeks from now... I’ve been in preterm labor since 34 weeks! When will the “real” thing happen?? 😩 I’m so confused!

She didn’t check me after a hour to see if there was any progress either, they just sent me home. Anyone else go through this?
