5 years 💕

Today my hubby and I celebrated our fifth year together. He's always been such an amazing support to me but today just reminded me of his love.

We go to a big time rodeo every year that benefits pediatric cancer research (it's way different than the little one we go to every Saturday night in the boondocks lol). It's huge and busy and loud.

I have anxiety, PTSD, depression and sensory processing issues. I can't handle big crowds well. My brain just started to shut down halfway through. Then I got irrationally angry. I knew I was getting overloaded but I wanted to hold out best as I could. After the rodeo was a concert for those who wanted to stay for it. I tried it. I really did...despite his recommendation to leave.

But I eventually couldn't take it anymore. We had to leave. I was in a daze in that small space with music that shook the room. I was worse than useless on the ride home. My brain was miscommunicating information. It was telling me my whole body was sunburned. my skin felt like it was on fire. Then I had pins and needles all over. I lost my motor abilities. I was struggling to talk. I was way too overstimulated and I knew better than to push myself after a stimulating rodeo to go to a concert. He turned the radio way down on the way home and spoke quietly and carefully and even didnt eat his chips to help my auditory sensitivities. He helped me up our flight of stairs. He took my shoes off, undressed me and gathered my things for bed. He took care of our cat and told me to go shower so I could relax in bed while he finished getting everything in the house ready for the night.

I'm just reminded of how deeply he loves me and how great he is at taking care of me. I'm sure it isn't easy to have a wife who has as many mental, neurological and physical ailments as I do but he is so patient, caring, loving and kind. What a man I have 😍😍😍 I'm so thankful that we take care of each other.
