Baby Aly!

Vanessa

She's finally here! I had regular uncomfortable contractions for about 3 weeks. At my 38.5 week appointment I was at 4cm and 90% so she swept my membranes! That night they were about 5 mins apart. They were keeping me up so We went for a walk at 5 am. I spent the day walking, did about 4 miles. They got to about 3 mins apart for several hours but they weren't hurting too much. I went up to the hospital about 7pm to get checked out. I was still the same 😕 but my midwife knew I was over being in pain all the time so she started my group B antibotics and got us checked in. At midnight she popped my water and they slowly got a lil stronger. He checked me at 3 am and I was still 4cm but almost fully thinned. I sat on the birthing ball for what felt like 10 mins and they started to really hurt and I started throwing up. I had about 5 really hurtful contractions and he came back to monitor the babys heart rate. He couldnt find it on the ball so I got on the bed and he found it and I was like I'm pushing and cant stop! He checked and said yep shes coming and called the mid wife. 5 mins later there were 5 people all ready to go and they grabbed my legs and 2 good pushes later she was out! My placenta was massive and stuck and I was bleeding alot! That was probably the worst part of it all. They got it out and she gave some meds to stop the bleeding. Had a small tear and got a few stitches. She was born at 4:09am 8lbs 12oz 21 inches! She is perfect and worth every second! Can't believe I went from not feeling much pain and 4cm to pushing in an hour! We left the hospital a lil over 24hrs after birth and are comfy at home! Alyeska Lynn Oliver!! Our lil chunky monkey ❤❤❤
