Fluoroscopy???

Hi ladies it's been almost 36months since TTC without any help and now the doctor wants me to have a hsg and to determine if I'm ovulating.  I know it consists of putting dye into my tubes to see if it flows through but I wanted to know does it hurt and are there any afterwards effects? Thanks in advance😚

My sister had it and said it hurt like hell. I’d say she’s pretty tough

I think it has to do with your pain tolerance because I didn't think it hurt at all but my friend said it hurt like hell. Honestly I didn't feel a thing though. They insert dye into you and watch as it goes through your tubes. You only have to wear a pad afterwards to catch any dye coming back out but I didn't have any other effects. Good luck!
