Children catching us having sex?!

What’s your story when you’ve gotten caught my 4 year old has caught us a couple times and he looks very upset or sad why & what can I do or comfort him?

Be more careful, idk how to comfort him because you cant really go back from seeing that but be more careful when doing things around him

A door lock. Invest in a door lock. It’ll save your life. Two or three times my daughter (she’s 3) has woken up in the night while we were uh.. busy😂. She will cry at the door, wanting to get in and it gives us a little time to get dressed before opening the door and pretend we were sleeping. 
If it’s not possible for you I would just explain to your little one that mommy and daddy are having “adult time” and that there’s nothing to worry about and you’re not hurting each other, try to reassure him the best you can.

Teach your children how to knock. "Mommy and daddy's room is private, if you want to come in you knock first" children have to be taught boundaries. Boundaries don't come naturally. That, and GET A DOORKNOB THAT LOCKS. $15 can literally make this a non issue.

I walked in on my parents having sex once when I was little and I thought my mom was in pain lmao. So maybe he thought you two were fighting haha. I would ask him about it. Ask him why he looked sad and answer any questions in an age appropriate way

He is probably scared that it was wrong or yall were fighting. That it's a shameful thing lol. Tell him for now that you guys were doing normal mommy and daddy things that mommy's and daddies do when they are in love. That he needs to knock next time. Do not, I repeat, do not down play it to normal any day activities like tickling or wrestling because this could lead to him doing it to another kiddo and that is SUPER rough to deal with sometimes. Make sure he knows it's for adults, if you dont address they he may try and act it out to understand.

Definitely start locking your doors. My son hasn’t walked in on us yet but we ALWAYS lock the door whenever we have sex, just to be safe.

My 7 year old walked in on us one time but thankfully we had just got started and could play it off. We started putting the vacuum in front of our door lol it probably wouldnt stop the kids from coming in but it would slow them down and give you plenty of time to get covered up.
