Anyone else have teeth shifting??? 😟

So today I noticed that there is a small gap between my 2 front teeth. I had braces when I was in middle school (not for front teeth gap though) and afterwards they installed a permanent retainer in the back of my teeth. This must have just started happening because I havent noticed it before today. I googled it and I found several articles about teeth shifting during pregnancy but this is horrible! I'm so afraid it's going to get worse. It's not noticable to anyone but me at the moment but I can feel the gap perfectly with my tongue and if you look closely you can see it. I'm not sure if I should make an appointment with an orthodontist because I'm afraid I cant afford a retainer at the moment. Should I just hope it doesn't get any worse?
