Nexplanon side effects?

I haven’t been on birth control since I was a teen, and didn’t take that for long because of side effects. About a month ago I got nexplanon implanted into my arm. After that I started seeing HORROR stories about nexplanon. Especially with constant bleeding. I’m not sure if I’m super lucky to not have any side effects at all (maybe a bit of acne, but I already get some) or has it not been long enough yet to get side effects? 
Does/has anyone used nexplanon? When did your side effects start if you had any?

Yeah I had it for less than a year. The constant bleeding was awful, and it wasn't just bleeding, I was constantly having period like cramps & symptoms along with it. It doesn't effect everybody the same tho.

I had nexplanon 6 years 3&3 took one out put one in same day same spot that’s my scar. It made my period extremely irregular. Like for 3 months I’d have light spotting every two weeks then for a few months I wouldn’t have one. I didn’t mind the spotting because I also didn’t mind not having a period or other period symptoms. I would only have an actual heavy period 4 times a year. But that was my only side effect. 🤷🏾‍♀️

No side effects got one put in 2010 after my first. I had no period all 3 years. Removed for a year and that's when I conceived my 2nd, then got it out back on on Feb 2015 recently got it removed in Jan 2019 because are trying to conceive. Second time I had it I actually did get a period I've always been irregular on cycles but yeah! I am one of the cases that has nothing but positive stuff to say of the nextplanon. I love that BC and I would recommend it for ANYONE not wanting children no time soon.

I had the nexplanon for almost 8 years and only had I removed so we could start trying. I had no periods, no cramps, no pms, in short it was an absolute dream. I’d definitely recommend it to anybody if they were lucky enough to have such a good time with it as I did 😊 I’d definitely have it again if I ever wanted protection again.

It effects everyone differently, I bled non stop, had horrible periods (so basically more cramping because I was bleeding all the time) 0 sex drive. Constant mood swings
I was literally miserable.

I got one placed about 3 years ago and the first two weeks I was extremely exhausted! My OB said it was my body adjusting to the hormones🤷🏽‍♀️ but within the first 6 months my period stopped and my mood was changed. I was so angry!!! It was horrible I got it taken out a year early!

I’ve had Implanon and Nexplanon. I definitely had more side effects with the Nexplanon (even though manufacturer says there’s nothing different). I had a rough month emotionally a month after getting it. I realized this in retrospect. I bled lightly for long periods of time. I told my doctor and he gave me medicine to stop the bleeding if I bled more than 7 days. So basically every month I had my period and took the medicine to stop it. I gained 14lbs as well. I didn’t have any other issues with it. Never had a problem getting pregnant after taking it out. I really liked the convenience of it- put it in and then don’t worry about “taking” BC because it’s always there. If I needed to, I would get it a third time.

Mine started with in a month, I became suicidal and my depression was 100 times worse. I would also go months with no period then bleed for weeks.

I loved nexplanon. I just got it out a little over a month ago cause I'm TTC but I had it for 5 years and loved it (one 3 years and one for 2 years)
