Is it weird to want to have a c-section over vaginal birth? Are you given an option? Iv been told different things. But I would definitely feel more comfortable with a c-section.

As for C-section births some drs say you should limit yourself to three.

Check with your insurance. They might not pay for an unnecessary c-section. And check with your doctor. Some won’t allow you to schedule a c-section if it’s not medically necessary, even if you have the money/insurance

I wanted a c section over a vaginal birth with my daughter and my doctor told me we don’t get to choose but then we did second trimester ultrasound and she was breech and remained that way. Now I can’t have a vaginal birth with my rainbow and I’m actually disappointed. You don’t want a c section over vaginal birth just because it looks scary lol

Most insurance won’t pay for an unnecessary one. Vaginal birth is usually between 4-7 thousand where a C-section is usually a minimum of 25,000. My emergency C-section and hospital stay was over 30,000 when everything was said and done. You can ask your dr and contact your insurance.

I had a scheduled c section with my son because he was predicted to be dangerously large and my OB wanted to avoid an emergency c section. I’m pregnant with #2 and really want a VBAC because the recovery for a c section is not pleasant, but I’m also scared of the complications. My advice: a csection really isn’t the less scary option unless there are circumstances that make a vaginal birth more complicated or dangerous. Talk to your OB if you’re having anxiety about the delivery process.
