Would you mention it?

You might have seen my post from a few weeks ago, same story just need some input.

I met this guy on a dating app back in January, we spoke for about a month and a half acting like a couple then he said he wasn’t in the right place for a relationship so we stopped speaking, wished each other all the best and all that. It ended on good terms.

A week later one of his mates added me on facebook, I was like okay what the fuck like we stop speaking and now his mate is adding me on facebook. He said I came up on his suggestions which made sense cause we had some common friends and me and the first guy never had each other on facebook so I was like okay whatever, maybe he has no idea. I intended to ask him about the first guy because I didn’t wanna make myself look like a complete idiot later on. Well we’ve been speaking for around 3 weeks now and I’m meeting him today. Things are going well so far, can’t really tell if it’s just a platonic friendship or something more from his side but I’m not overthinking it anyway. But now that I got to know him better during these weeks he really does seem nice and I’m not too sure if I should still ask about his mate or not? I mean him and I only used to speak and never got to meet although we wanted to. Would you mention it? I’m just thinking it might make things awkward between us but at the same time I don’t wanna end up looking like an idiot, realistically speaking I wouldn’t even know they mates if I didn’t stalk his facebook and saw that they liked each ofhers pictures and had comments on from years ago coming up to early this year lol
