So, I’ve been friends with this guy for a while. The girl he was last with broke his heart, so it’s kind of hard for him to pursue us because he is partly still in love with her. Although he likes me, should i keep moving forward or be patient with him?

There may not be anything long term there. But it doesn't mean it can't be a beautiful growing experience for the both of you, but you are still at risk for being hurt. It sounds like he might just need some time to himself...

I think you should keep moving but also let him know where u want to be especially with him. Tell him your concerns and how you feel about him. If you really want you guys to be a couple you can be patient if you are a patient person. But don’t let you and his situation stop you from dating or seeing what’s out there. Keep your options open but be upfront with him about how you feel about him.
