Husband bday/anniversary?

I'm newly a stay at home mom, like about 1 month, and my husband's bday is this weekend and our anniversary is in May... I obviously have no income so I can't buy him anything. 
What do you all do for gifts?!?!

Answer

I always cook a special meal with some of his favorite dishes and a dessert he enjoys. I usually get him something I sometimes get him something I know he’s been wanting as a surprise but most of the time it ends up like we get something that we will both enjoy for anniversary (last year we bought a new mattress). For his birthday I often tell him to go ahead and buy something that we’d talked about and passed up because of price or something. For example there’s a steak company online that he loves to order nice meat from and last year for his birthday I told him to pick out any of their fancy steaks and order it. I knew if I tried to pick one out I wouldn’t know which one to get!

We share all of our money so I just use our regular account to buy a Visa gift card and then I buy the gifts with that so he can’t see where the gift came from.

I usually pick up a side job or something to make a bit of extra cash even though hubs says don’t get me any thing lol
