My father in law has been on my ass about going back to work since my son has been born. "Hell, I'll babysit a couple days a week for y'all but you need to be working." His words. I've been looking for a couple weeks, telling him every job I've looked into, making sure he was okay to watch him if I got the job. Well today I got a job and called to tell him. Now he says, "Y'all are gonna have to figure something out. I ain't no babysitter." Thanks for saying you'd watch him while I work. Then deciding you can't once I get hired..

I know it's not his responsibility but he has harrassed me about going back to work for the last couple months and said multiple times he would babysit while I work part time and now that I'm hired, he changes his tune.. dang. I'm fucked. I start tomorrow. My sons dad works the same shift as me and there are no other shifts available in both our jobs. I would've waited until I found somebody stable to watch him to get a job if I had known he wasn't serious about it..
