Does your partner give you perineal massages?

My husband started giving me perineal massages this week and joked he's probably one of the only men who do it. Just curious if any other couples are preparing for their birth like we are.

I know what it is as they went through it in our antenatal class and he offered but I feel kinda embarrassed for him to do it to me at the moment.

I didn’t hear about it until labor with my first and my wonderful nurse gave me one and I didn’t tear. I’m now 37 weeks and I may just ask the nurse to do it during labor again. I’m afraid it’ll hurt if my husband does it.
