Baby shower for sibling close in Age?

Anyone having their next baby pretty close to the last and debating a baby shower ?
My daughter will be 2 1/2 when her brother gets here. We have the big necessities.  I'm just wondering if it's even necessary to have one, or if it looks greedy to have another one so soon?
The main reason I'm even considering one is because I'm having a boy this go round.

I wanted a shower (not a sprinkle 😝) since our son is 8 and we literally have nothing. 😬 But then apart of me just wants to suck it up and just buy everything we need and not bother people.  Anxiety probs! 😫

We are going to do a sprinkle because we have everything too. I think celebrating each baby is important but I’m just registering for clothes and diapers and probably the bedding I want for the crib

Apparently the new thing is to call the second baby party a sprinkle. You still celebrate but it’s way scaled back.

A lot of women I know just have diaper showers after their first babies. Guests are just asked to bring diapers and/or wipes if they want to bring a gift. That way we can still celebrate baby but it's not a huge shower!

I’m having a sprinkle shower. My son is 2 so we have all the big stuff. When we first found out I was pregnant my mom only agreed to throw me a shower if it was a girl, which I completely agreed because we saved all of my sons gently used clothes. Since we are having a girl we don’t have any girl stuff. My registry is basically all
Girl stuff ( blankets, towels, clothes etc), but no big stuff since we saved everything from my son. Also probably doing a diaper raffle. We are also doing women only, my sons was co Ed. A little smaller shower for different gender I think it good.

My daughter will turn 3 the month before this baby comes. I was debating having a shower, but someone offered to throw one for me and I felt like it would be rude to turn her down. All my friends have had multiple showers and it never bothered me, I love buying baby gifts. I know some people don't like more than one shower, but I think most people enjoy celebrating new babies no matter what number it is.
