When did things get normal after getting an IUD

How long did it take for you to stop bleeding all the time and/or have your period regulate after getting an IUD? I’m tired of always bleeding.

So I got mine March 1 if this year, since only about last week have I stopped constantly bleeding. All my underwear is practically ruined since I got a bit lazy (whoops). I know the struggle, but my doctor said it would take up to about 3 months for things to feel normal, depending on which one you have. I have a skyla, because I’m younger and don’t need the bigger ones

It was normal immediately. Nothing changed. My periods remained the same. I’ve never had any pms symptoms . My periods are a breeze ❤️

I only bled irregularly for a month after insertion but it wasn’t constant bleeding it was random frequent spotting. After my 6 month mark I stopped getting a period completely 😋🙌🏼

Mine stopped after 4 months. Up to 20% of mirena users stop having periods, so 80% still do.  Kyleena users only up to 12% stop having periods and only 6% of skyla users stop having periods. Its most likely you'll still have periods but lighter and irregular. Periods should lighten after the first 6 months.
